Larry was born in 1958 in Dunkirk, NY. He was a graduate of Fredonia High School and the State University of New York at Buffalo, where he earned a bachelor of science degree in biology. Outside of work, Larry had a passion for sportscar racing and most recently fly fishing, for which he learned to tie his own exquisite flies. But, his biggest passion by far was his family.

In addition to his wife, Larry is survived by their two daughters, Shelby (Brandon) Plotner of Carrollton, TX, and Caitlin (Chris) Agee of Grape-vine; grandchildren Liam and Amelia Plotner, and Jack Agee; sister-in-law, Laura Faletti Koellman of Bedford, TX; and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his parents, Leon and Doris Thompson of Dunkirk, NY; his brother, Richard (Maureen) Thompson of Honeoye Falls, NY; and his sister, Susan (Jeff) Guziec of Fredonia, NY. His passing will leave a big hole in many people’s lives. He will be terribly missed.
