Clippings can be dangerous
Editor, OBSERVER:
I’m a member of the Sons of Liberty in Dunkirk. I am offering a reminder to all those who mow their lawns close to traffic.
Never, ever shoot grass into the road or street when mowing. It causes a very slick, ice-like surface. It could severely injure or possibly kill a motorcyclist.

Editor, OBSERVER:
A recent advertisement in this newspaper included a major grammatical error in the third paragraph. The paragraph begins, “It is you that has kept this country … “ referring to human beings. It should have read “It is you who have …” Long ago, but not that far away — in New York City, we learned this before the fifth grade. Is this no longer taught?
