Remembering a parishioner

Editor, OBSERVER: Long gone but not forgotten. Sister Rosemary Lockett gives support to the old saying – May the work I have done, speak for me. She was a lifelong member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church. A faithful worker serving on the Usher Boar; Sunday school working with the youth; served as church clerk and church secretary. Editor, OBSERVER: Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness has been ignored by the prescient administration. To exasperate this basic right, President Joe Biden picked John Kerry, to run the climate debacle. There’s worries with lake turbines

Editor, OBSERVER: The big corporations speak of renewable energy, but the one thing that is not renewable is our great lakes. They always compare how many houses the wind farm turbines power. I say what is wrong with solar roof-top construction on homes those that want it get it installed and let the government subsidize the homeowners instead of the big corporations? This way the homeowners win and our only source of fresh water for supporting life and recreation the Great Lakes will stay pristine from the unknown risks of installing turbines in our drinking water. Unhappy trails while snowmobiling

Editor, OBSERVER: Recently my two girlfriends and I set out for an afternoon cross county ski on a trail shared with cross country skiers, hikers, and snowmobilers. The snow conditions were good and the trail was well groomed and very wide. As the trails were busy with snowmobilers, we stayed to the right occupying one third of the trail. During our ski we encountered many snowmobilers who were courteous, slowed down, formed a single line and waved as they passed us. Editor, OBSERVER: I read the letter, “We all need to accept the results” (Dec. 22) and, to say the least, I could not believe it. The writer said it does not make sense a challenger would be able to steal an election. ‘Good people’ can be wrong

Editor, OBSERVER: I rely on your newspaper so much to inform me of the day’s and community ‘s happenings. But some news gets beyond my comprehension. This is especially true considering former President Donald Trump. When it was reported that he said that both sides of the Charlottesville demonstration contained “good people,” I was sort of stunned.
