Cotton, Pacos given Bob Frame Memorial Educational Grants

The Dunkirk Lakeshore USBC Bowling Association awarded two bowlers with the Bob Frame Memorial Educational Grants. The grant is awarded to one graduating high school senior boy and one girl. Participants must be members of the association.

All high school senior bowlers are invited to complete an entry form, bowl six games (three at Lucky Lanes and three at K & L Lanes) and take a written test, which is based on the sport of bowling. Applicants are awarded points for their years of participation in the association, improvements in their average and their willingness to assist with their local bowling program. Bowlers are also awarded points based on each three-game set bowled and their test score.

Morgan Cotton, of Dunkirk, was awarded a $750 grant as this year’s female recipient. She is a member of the Lucky Lanes Junior Bowlers. Morgan is a 2019 graduate of Dunkirk High School and will be attending Hilbert College in the fall to study forensics.

The male recipient this year is Bryson Pacos of Fredonia. Bryson was also awarded a $750 grant. He is also a member of the Lucky Lanes Junior Bowlers. Pacos was a member of the Fredonia Hillbillies bowling team. He is a 2019 graduate from Fredonia High School and will be attending SUNY Fredonia in the fall to study sports management and marketing.
