The Fredonia girls soccer team got in the win column with a 7-1 nonleague victory over Westfield/Brocton on Tuesday.
The Hillbillies’ potent offense was led by Rylee Beers with two goals and two assists and Annie Gondek with a goal and two assists.
Fredonia built a 4-0 lead before halftime with goals from Gondek, Beers, Francesca Pucci and Ava Rukavina, who also collected an assist.
The three goals added in the second half were from Beers, Ella Koopman and Callie Draggett while Gigi Ferro and Allie Pchelka earned assists.
Sarah Davis made seven saves in net to earn the victory.

In the 76th minute Westfield/Brocton’s Carley Wilson ended Davis’ bid for a clean sheet on a breakaway to make the score 7-1. Emma Busuladzic stood tall in net for the Wolverines with 19 saves.
Fredonia is back in action on Thursday when it begins Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 1 West play against Jamestown at home. The Wolverines travel to Pine Valley/Gowanda for a nonleague game on Thursday.
GOLDEN COUGARS SHUT OUT MAPLE GROVE
FALCONER — The Falconer/Cassadaga Valley girls soccer team picked up its first win of the season by blanking Maple Grove 3-0 in nonleague action on Tuesday.
The Golden Cougars (1-1, 0-0) scored three unassisted goals, with the first one coming off the foot of Kayla Lynn in the first half. Lynn battled for a 50/50 ball in the box and came out on top to give Falconer/Cassadaga Valley the 1-0 lead.

The second tally came off the foot of Julianna Roth from about 20 yards out and banked in off the post to give the Golden Cougars a 2-0 lead. Natalie Dossey found the back of the net to seal the deal at 3-0 and Ellyson Baglia did all that was asked of her in net to maintain the clean sheet for Falconer/Cassadaga Valley.
Falconer/Cassadaga Valley is back in action Thursday against Allegany-Limestone in Falconer. The Red Dragons next game is a rematch on Saturday when they host the Golden Cougars.
TIMBERWOLVES BLANK BLACK KNIGHTS
SILVER CREEK — Cattaraugus-Little Valley’s first-half tally was all it needed to beat Silver Creek/Forestville, but it added four more for good measure to win 5-0.
Madalyn West scored the first goal in the 20th minute and gave a 1-0 lead for the visiting Timberwolves.

The Timberwolves sought an insurance goal the remainder of the first half and did not find one, but it didn’t take long to find one in the second half. Cattaraugus-Little Valley scored three goals in the first 15 minutes of the second half with Evelyn Janora, Olivia Seiflein and Madison Spink finding the back of the net.
Spink added a final goal in the 72nd minute as Onalee Osgood closed out the clean sheet for the Timberwolves.
Cattaraugus-Little Valley is at Salamanca on Thursday for CCAA East action and Silver Creek/Forestville hosts CSAT in a nonleague game.
CARDS WIN LEAGUE OPENER
RANDOLPH — Randolph opened CCAA East action with a 7-1 victory over visiting Franklinville.

It took Randolph 19 minutes to find the back of the net, but once Sara Smith scored the first one from Quinn Pence the others came easier. Mattie Evansbrown and Kyra Pence scored in the 25th and 30th minute to give Randolph a 3-0 lead before halftime.
The Cardinals added four more unassisted goals in the second half from Gianna Bowles, Quinn Pence two times and Evansbrown once more.
Kendell O’Neill made four saves in the victory.
The two meet again on Thursday in Franklinville to wrap up their league schedules against each other.
BEARS CRUISE TO VICTORY

ELLICOTTVILLE — The Frewsburg offense spread the ball around on the way to a 6-0 nonleague win over Ellicottville.
Frewsburg scored three goals in the first half, an early one in the 7th minute by Ashlyn Samuelson assisted by Taytum Jimerson and then a final-minute tally from Jimerson, assisted by Brionna Dumaine. Between the Samuelson and Jimerson goals was a tally from Alex Hultberg, assisted by Ava Jimerson.
The Bears continued to dominate the second half with goals by Jacey Cappa from Hultberg, Samuelson’s second tally, assisted by Aleah Bjork, and Kealy Caflisch from Paige Whippo.
The Eagles called on Abby Chudy in net to make 21 saves while Braelyn Stelmack earned the clean sheet for the visitors.
Frewsburg is back in action today at City Honors while Ellicottville hosts Portville on Thursday.
BOYS
CARR NETS 3 FOR FREWSBURG
FREWSBURG — Zack Carr scored three goals and picked up one assist as Frewsburg shut out Salamanca/Cattaraugus-Little Valley 7-0 in nonleague boys soccer action on Tuesday.
Carr was not alone finding the back of the net multiple times as Garett Brink scored twice while Brenden Devereaux and Isaac Hultberg scored the other two goals.
Braydon Lobb didn’t score a goal, but picked up three assists while Devereaux and Ryan Eckman each had one.
Kyler Colton and Ashton Clark-Sanford made a combined 11 saves in net for the Warriors.
Frewsburg opens league play today on the road against Maple Grove while the Warriors travel to Randolph for league play.
‘BILLIES LOSE IN CHAMPIONSHIP
BLASDELL — Frontier defeated the Fredonia Hillbillies 4-3 in the championship game of the Frontier FC Kickoff Tournament on Saturday.
The Hillbillies (1-1-0) led 2-1 at halftime. The Falcons scored three goals in the second half to win the trophy.
Sal Tabone, Kaden Ritenburg and Jayden Yerico scored for the Hillbillies. Andrew Cowan made 13 saves in goal.
Fredonia travels to face Jamestown today at Strider Field at 5:30 p.m.
