Only two records remain at Dunkirk High School for Adam Fred to conquer.

The Dunkirk/Fredonia/Forestville senior set the 200-yard freestyle record that had stood since 1992 on Thursday night in a 80-75 Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association victory over Jamestown/Falconer.

Fred tied Jamestown/Falconer’s Aidan McCleery with a winning time of 1:51.32, more than 3 seconds faster than the old Dunkirk record in the 200-yard freestyle.

Fred also broke his own record in the 100-yard freestyle, just missing a state-qualifying time with a clocking of 49.51.

Lastly, Fred led the Dunkirk/Fredonia/Forestville 200-yard freestyle relay team to a school-record time of 1:35.12, breaking a mark that had stood since 2000. Other swimmers on the relay included David Barrett, Trenton Krenzer and Matt Dunn.

Conner Dean was a double winner for Jamestown/Falconer with victories in the 200-yard individual medley (2:02.66) and 100-yard butterfly (55.49).
