FREWSBURG — Mason Eckman went 2 for 3 with an RBI triple and two runs scored to lead Frewsburg to an 11-1 six-inning Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 2 baseball victory over Westfield on Thursday at the Frewsburg Sports Complex.

The Bears led 7-1 after three innings before putting the game away with a four-run sixth inning.

Chase Haglund threw five innings of one-hit ball, striking out 12 and walking one before Aidan Gruber threw the final inning and struck out the side while allowing one hit.

Frewsburg’s four runs in the first inning came courtesy of an error, a hit by pitch with the bases loaded and a fielder’s choice.

Haglund scored on a deep fly ball caught by Westfield’s second baseman in the second inning.
