Villenova Burial Association Annual Fall Meeting SOUTH DAYTON — The Annual Fall Meeting of the Villenova Burial Association will be Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at the Villenova Town Hall, 1094 Butcher Road. This is a member meeting for anyone who owns a lot or has a family member buried in the Villenova Cemetery as a member, you are a part of the VBA and responsible for the Cemetery’s future operation and upkeep. Dash for Cash tickets still available Dash for Cash tickets with a theme of Kickoff for Kindness are available for a limited time as a fund-raiser for the Boys & Girls Club of Northern Chautauqua County. Tickets are $25 each. The grand-prize drawing will be Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Clarion Hotel in Dunkirk. Blessing of Grapes set for Tuesday SILVER CREEK — On Tuesday morning at 8:30, the sixth annual “Blessing of the Grapes” Mass will take place at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. This is normally the first event of Silver Creek’s Festival of Grapes. Growers can bring baskets of their grapes, or samples of juices, wine musts or wine, prior to mass, so that they can be blessed by Father Dan Fiebelkorn. Can and bottle drive Saturday in city The Blessed Mary Angela Holy Name Society is announcing its last can and bottle drive of the season. Collection will take place on Saturday in the St. Hedwig Church Roberts Road parking lot from 9 a.m. until noon.
