Dunkirk to perform ‘Matilda Jr.’ next weekend Dunkirk City School District students in grades four to eight will be performing the musical “Matilda Jr.,” at the Intermediate School auditorium located at 525 Eagle St. The show dates and times are Nov. 17 and 18 at 7 p.m. and Nov. 19 at 2 p.m. Tickets are available on-line at dunkirkcsd.seatyourself.biz with a limited number available at the door the days of the show. Thanksgiving Food Drive next weekend The annual Thanksgiving Food Drive to benefit the Chautauqua County Rural Ministry will be Saturday, Nov. 11 from noon to 3 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 12, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Pomfret Town Hall parking lot, 9 Day St., Fredonia. Youth from local church and service organizations traditionally help staff the food drive. The food drive seeks frozen turkeys, hams, chickens, canned goods, boxed dry goods, and other non-perishable food items for the Rural Ministry Thanksgiving food baskets.
