Hanover water bills due HANOVER — Town water and sewer customers are advised that Oct. 13 has been set as the last day for payment of water and sewer bills. After that, outstanding balances will be added to the town and county tax bills. Payment can be made by mail, through the drop boxes located at both public entrances or in person at the Hanover Town Hall, 68 Hanover St., Silver Creek, during normal business hours, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The office will be closed on Monday, Oct. 9, in observance of Columbus/Indigenous People’s Day. Blessing of Pets is Sunday All pets are welcome to attend the Blessing of the Pets in honor of St. Francis. The blessing will take place on Sunday, Oct. 1 outside the front door of St. John the Baptist Episcopal Church on 14 W. Fourth St. in Dunkirk at 12:30 p.m., after the 11 a.m. service.
