23 SkiDoo to perform on Cassadaga Floating Stage
America’s swing era
This Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m., 23 SkiDoo will be performing on the Cassadaga Floating Stage. This group of five area musicians under the leadership of Dick O’Dell are preserving and promoting music from America’s great swing era of the roaring 20s through the 1940s. They will take you on a musical trip down memory lane performing Big Band favorites, Dixie and oldies with a Bourbon Street style.
This concert is sponsored by the Citizens for a Better Cassadaga and is part of the Cassadaga Lake Summer Concert Series. The Cassadaga Floating Stage is located at Cassadaga Beach, 45 Park Ave, Cassadaga. Bring a chair, blanket or come by boat. Food and drink will be available to purchase with proceeds going to the Cassadaga Food Pantry. Besides the beach, this beautiful park boasts lots of shade trees, picnic tables, playground, volleyball and basketball courts. The historic gazebo contributes to the “Norman Rockwell” ambiance.
In case of inclement weather, this event will be held at the American Legion Post 1280 located at 228 Maple Ave, Cassadaga.
