Church of the Living Spirit This week’s speaker is Tom Cratsley. Church services are held every Sunday in the Assembly Hall on Cleveland Avenue in Lily Dale. Service time is 10:30 a.m. to noon and consists of a spiritual talk, a hands-on healing, a message demonstration, music, meditation and prayer. Last month we began a series of “What We Believe” articles beginning with the Bible itself. We believe the Bible’s truth and integrity as the inerrant Word of God. Right Rev. R. William Franklin celebrant at St. John the Baptist Church

The Right Rev. R. William Franklin will be the celebrant of the Eucharist at St. John the Baptist (Episcopal) Church on Sunday, Oct. 14. The two morning services will be combined on that day with one service at 10:30 a.m. Bishop Franklin was consecrated on April 30, 2011 at St. Paul’s Cathedral in Buffalo. He holds a B.A. from Northwestern University and a Ph.d. in Church History from Harvard. Fredonia First United Methodist Church programs set

The Fredonia First United Methodist Church has a number of programs taking place in the next several weeks. The Church is located at 25 Church St., Fredonia Awana Club is held Wednesdays during the school year in the education wing from 6 to 8 p.m. It follows the Fredonia school calendar. It is open to students K-12. Kids can Have fun and enjoy rewarding games, lessons, and activities that demonstrate biblical truths and values. The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Northern Chautauqua welcomes Consulting Minister George Buchanan to the pulpit on Sunday, Oct. 14. Buchanan will speak on “The Perennial Wisdom of Alan Watts.” Watts encourages us to approach our lives playfully and with joy.
