We all need education regarding COVID-19

As we start to open up our senior centers and congregate meal sites, I am getting questions from older adults about how vaccines work. Can we mandate that everyone who comes into our building be vaccinated? And are we protected from the Delta variant of COVID-19? I will try to answer these questions in this article but realize that information is changing as time passes. SILVER CREEK — The Silver Creek Senior Citizens met on July 27 with 28 members present. President Ed Newman welcomed back Teri Weinheimer and then opened the meeting with the Pledge to the Flag and God Bless America. Pauline Flitt read “God’s Creations” and offered a blessing of the food. We enjoyed hot dogs grilled by Earl Sheeler and Harry Suski, and many delicious salads and casseroles. Silver Creek Senior Citizens meet

SILVER CREEK — The Silver Creek Seniors met on Tuesday, July 13 with 33 members and guests present. President Ed Newman opened with the pledge to the flag and everyone singing God Bless America. Carm Tampio offered a prayer for the meal, and the chance to be together. President Newman then welcomed guests Brad and Harriet Herbert and welcomed back Max and Margaret Church.
