Two drivers were sent to Westfield Memorial Hospital following an early morning crash on Bayview Road in Bemus Point. According to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, Zachery Arnold, 18, of Bemus Point was driving west when he allegedly fell asleep. His vehicle struck another vehicle head-on operated by Todd Diate, 23, of Stockton who was traveling east. Both men were transported to the hospital for treatment of their injuries. Arnold was charged with failure to keep right and will appear at a later date in Ellery Town Court. The Maple Springs, Ellery Center and Dewittville volunteer fire departments also assisted with this call.
