¯ DUNKIRK — Jimmy L. Watts, 46, of Dunkirk, was taken into custody Wednesday after deputies responded around 11:35 a.m. to Middle Road in the city of Dunkirk to serve an order of protection and multiple arrest warrants. Watts reportedly fled on foot but was apprehended a short time later. Watts was wanted by the Jamestown Police Department on charges of second-degree harassment and three counts of second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation. He was wanted by the Ellicott Police Department on a second-degree aggravated harassment charge. Watts was taken to Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment.
¯ HANOVER — Matthew A. Logel, 32, of Eden, was charged with driving while intoxicated, DWI per se, speed not reasonable and prudent and failure to keep right. Deputies responded at 11:57 p.m. Wednesday to a crash on Center Street in the town of Hanover. An investigation found that the driver was allegedly operating the vehicle while intoxicated. Logel is scheduled to appear in Hanover Town Court later. There were no injuries reported in the crash.
