¯ PORTLAND — A two-vehicle accident on Route 20 Monday afternoon damaged a utility pole and residence. At around 12:16 p.m., deputies from the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office said a vehicle operated by Savon Nagel-Vansickle, 19 of Portland, failed to maintain its lane and unsafely backed into the road. As a result the vehicle was struck by another causing damage to a utility pole and residence. Local Fire Departments arrived assisted while on scene. Neither vehicle operator or the occupants of the residence sustained any injuries as a result of the collision. Nagel-Vansickle was released with traffic citations for failure to maintain lane and unsafe backing. She will be in the town court later.

¯ SINCLAIRVILLE –Around 8 a.m. Saturday, deputies stopped a vehicle on Charlotte Center Road. The operator of the vehicle was identified as Taran Mosher, 24, of Forestville. It is alleged that Mosher was operating his vehicle in an intoxicated state with a child less than 17 in the vehicle. He was charged with DWI, DWI Leandra’s Law, aggravated DWI .018% or higher, and endangering the welfare of a child. Mosher is set to be in town of Charlotte court later.

DUNKIRK POLICE

¯ Kentrell Stewart, 37, of Dunkirk, was arrested May 28 and charged with petit larceny.

¯ Angelica Arroyo, 41, last known address in Dunkirk, was arrested May 29 and charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

¯ Hakeem Sherry, 19, of Dunkirk, was arrested May 29 and charged with petit larceny.

¯ Mark Menclewicz, 57, of Dunkirk, was arrested May 30 and charged with third-degree burglary and petit larceny.

¯ Terry Young-Copeland, 34, homeless, was arrested May 31 and charged with first-degree menacing.

¯ Justin Yuchnitz, 29, of Jamestown, was arrested Thursday and charged with third-degree criminal trespass.
