CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY COURT – Max Thompson, age 38, homeless of Jamestown, was sentenced Sept. 25 by Judge David Foley to a determinate state prison sentence of 5 years with 5 years of post-release supervision after being convicted of second-degree attempted criminal possession of a weapon, a class D violent felony. In November 2023, Thompson was arrested by the Jamestown Police Department after he damaged property to the UCAN City Mission and made threats towards employees. CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT --- HANOVER --- At 10:01 p.m. Saturday, the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office conducted a traffic stop on Alleghany Road. The operator of the vehicle was identified as 31-year-old Veronica T. Scordato of Williamsville. Further investigation found Scordato to be driving while intoxicated. Scordato was charged with DWI, DWI per se, and failing to stop at a stop sign.
