CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY COURT – Max Thompson, age 38, homeless of Jamestown, was sentenced Sept. 25 by Judge David Foley to a determinate state prison sentence of 5 years with 5 years of post-release supervision after being convicted of second-degree attempted criminal possession of a weapon, a class D violent felony. In November 2023, Thompson was arrested by the Jamestown Police Department after he damaged property to the UCAN City Mission and made threats towards employees.
