Gowanda School Board to meet
GOWANDA — The Gowanda Central School Board of Education will hold a public hearing at 6 p.m. Wednesday on the school’s new code of conduct. The hearing will be held via Facebook Live. The board will then host a regular meeeting starting at 6:30 p.m.
Gowanda Pine Hill Cemetery meeting
The annual meeting of Gowanda Pine Hill Cemetery will be Wednesday, June 16, at 4:30 p.m. at the cemetery. In the event of rain, it will be held the following day at 4:30 p.m.
County Genealogical to meet Wednesday
CASSADAGA – The Chautauqua County Genealogical Society will meet Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at the Cassadaga American Legion Hall on Maple Avenue. The guest speaker will be genealogist Norman Carlson on the topic “The Genetics Beneath Genealogy — Why You Are Not Related To Most Of Your Own Relatives.” COVID restrictions are still in place with mask wearing and social distancing. All are welcome, and the meeting is open to the public.

Don’t Get Burned: Fraud Detection and Prevention for the Not-For-Profit Sector
This seminar, presented by the State Comptroller’s Office and hosted by Northern Chautauqua Community Foundation, is free to attend, but registration prior to the event is required. Cassadaga Lakes strawberry social and concert
The American Eagle Dixieland Band will play at the Cassadaga Beach from 6 to 8 p.m. Delicious strawberry shortcakes will be available for a donation. The concert is sponsored by Hy-Wit Corporation.

Mayville’s Farmers’ Market
Mayville Farmers’ and Artisans’ Market is held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Mayville Village Park, at the traffic light at Route 394 and Route 430, Mayville. It features farmers and artisans, with special events.
Chamber of Commerce after-hours business mixer
The Hanover, Fredonia and Dunkirk Chambers of Commerce after-hours business mixer will take place at the Sunset Bay Beach Club in Irving from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., following current CDC guidelines. All businesses whether Chautauqua County Camber members and non-members are welcome. The first two tickets are free to members with each additional and non-members costing $15, which includes a first drink and hors d’oeuvres. Elks Lodge 922 bingo
The Dunkirk Elks Lodge 922, 428 Central Ave., will hold bingo at 7 p.m. Doors open at 5 p.m., admission card sale begin at 6. Social distancing will be observed. Masks must be worn for all those who are not completely vaccinated.
