Brocton/Portland Democratic Caucus set for Saturday
The Brocton/Portland Democratic Committee will be holding a Village of Brocton and Town of Portland caucus on Saturday starting 9:30 a.m. at the Portland Town Hall, 88 W. Main St., Brocton, to make nominations for the following offices to run in the November 2, 2021, general election, for two four-year Brocton village trustee positions and the following Portland town postions: town supervisor, town clerk, two Town Council postions, town highway superintendent and town tax collector, all for four-year terms. Only registered Democrats in the village of Brocton and the town of Portland can make nominations or vote but any registered voter in the village or town can be nominated. Hanover to meet Monday morning
Hanover Town Supervisor Todd Johnson has called a special meeting for 10 a.m. Monday be held the Hanover Town Hall for the purpose of discussing the town’s insurance coverage and any other business that may come before the board.
