Villenova Burial Association annual fall meeting set

VILLENOVA — The Annual Fall Meeting of the Villenova Burial Association will be held Tuesday, Oct. 18 at 6:30 p.m. at the Villenova Town Hall, 1094 Butcher Rd., South Dayton. This is a member meeting for anyone who owns a lot or has a family member buried in the Villenova Cemetery. As a member, you are a part of the VBA and responsible for the Cemetery’s future operation and upkeep. This meeting will also involve the election of Trustees for expiring Trustee terms and the yearly election of officers. The present Trustees of the VBA would greatly welcome your attendance at, and participation in, this meeting, as we work to preserve this 200+ year old eemetery.

Rummage sale set for today

Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Trinity Episcopal Church Women will hold their Fall Rummage sale. There is a great collection of treasures just waiting for patrons to discover what you’ve been missing. The sale will be in Garland Hall, which is located behind the church at 11 Day St. Fredonia. There are books (children-adult), bedding, household items, holiday, knickknacks and so much more. There will also be coats, jackets, (infant-adult) and adult shoes. All items are clean, in good condition, work if they need to and are priced reasonably. Come find your next treasure.

Quilting Companions meet Wednesday

Northern Chautauqua Quilting Companions will hold a meeting at Harvest Chapel Church, 39 Matteson St., Fredonia, at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. The program is an in-house project on making a spiral woven basket. Guests are welcome.

BPO Young Musicians Scholarship offered

The Friends of the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra are accepting applications for up to seven scholarships. Seniors who will enroll at a university/college as a music major in the fall of 2023 are eligible to apply.
