‘Valentine’ candle, bake sale Saturday If you are looking for a homemade treat to give your Valentine, there will be a selection of handmade soy-wax candles and baked goods available on Saturday, Valentine’s Day, at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Northern Chautauqua at 222 Temple St. in Fredonia, from noon to 3 p.m. Donations will be used to defray postage for postcards being sent to voters to encourage voter turnout in the upcoming primaries and November election. Class of 1966 reunion plans underway The committees for the 1966 graduating classes from Dunkirk High School and Cardinal Mindzenty High School will be hosting a 60th reunion weekend. The festivities will begin on Friday, Aug. 7 with a combined DHS and CMHS reunion at the Clarion/Steelbound Pavillion in Dunkirk. On Saturday, Aug. 8, CMHS will hold a catered reunion at the Dunkirk Lighthouse Pavilion. Also on that day, the DHS reunion will be dinner and music at 64 On The Rocks in Fredonia. Jump in lake being replaced Saturday CASSADAGA – Due to the cold temperatures, in conjunction with the Chautauqua County Water Rescue Team, the Citizens for a Better Cassadaga has announced there will not be a jump in the lake on Saturday during the Winter Festival. Instead attendees will gather on the lake to make snow angels. All are welcome. The fun at the beach will still take place from noon to 2 p.m. with free hot chili, hot coffee from Tim Hortons and making s’mores over a fire. ‘Love Remembered’ event is Feb. 7 SOUTH DAYTON — The Villenova Burial Association will be holding its ninth annual “Love Remembered” Bake Sale in the entryway of the South Dayton Supermarket on Saturday, Feb. 7 starting at 9 a.m. There will be dozens of homemade goodies, including pies, bread, cookies, candy, cupcakes, cakes.
