Access Chautauqua Programming for July 20-26 set Access Chautauqua has announced its programming for July 20-26. Chautauqua People, hosted by John Viehe, will have Stephen Stout, Theater Actor, Director and Teacher at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m., then Mary Bailey, Sculptor and Writer, at 1:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Chautauqua Sunrise, hosted by Doc Hamels, will have guest Lori Cornell from the Jamestown Gazette. City council meeting was canceled Tuesday’s scheduled Dunkirk Common Council meeting was canceled. According to an email sent by Deputy City Clerk Raymond Rosas late Tuesday morning, Mayor Kate Wdowiasz canceled the meeting due to a lack of quorum. It is unknown what was on the agenda, or even if there was one; the OBSERVER never received an agenda. The council’s regularly scheduled meetings are the first and third Tuesdays of each month, so its next session is now set for Aug. 6. Dunkirk Historical Society sets summer hours The Dunkirk Historical Museum will be closed the rest of this week as it operates the railroad display at the Chautauqua County fairgrounds. South Dayton plans weekend events SOUTH DAYTON — On Saturday at 1 p.m. at the village’s Depot Rail and Movie Museum, Jace Wightman.
