Route 20 bridge closing reported NORTH EAST, Pa. — In the interest of public safety, the bridge that carries Route 20 over Twenty Mile Creek in North East Township, Erie County, was closed Thursday due to deterioration and structural concerns. The bridge is located between Gay Road and Gulf Road in North East Township near the New York state line. The closure was prompted by information gathered during a design analysis of the structure. Brocton-Portland seniors meet Brocton-Portland Seniors met at their new location at Tri-Church, 41 E. Main St., Brocton on Jan. 30 with 41 members present. A tureen lunch was enjoyed by all. President Margaret Jagoda opened the meeting with Anita Calcatera’s prayer and George Travis’ Pledge of Allegiance by members. Twelve January birthdays were announced. Fredonia wins pair in High School Bowl Fredonia Central School defeated Eisenhower High School 131-29 in a recent Media One High School Bowl match at Jamestown Community College. In another match, Fredonia topped Randolph Central School 104-16. Rebecca Lash and Ray Dai, both of Fredonia, earned Player of the Match honors.
