Anthony G. Borrello is a candidate for Village of Silver Creek Trustee
Anthony G. Borrello
Anthony Borrello owned and operated a family business, Silver Creek Plumbing and Heating. In 1989, Borrello closed the business to work at the Lakeview Shock Incarceration Facility in Brocton. Borrello served as the Head Plumber and Pipe Fitter until his retirement 15 years later.
Borrello served in the US Army from 1963 to 1965 with the 697th Pipeline Engineering Company, he served in Thailand and Vietnam. He received an Honorable Discharge as a Disabled Veteran. He is a lifetime member of the Samuel Cimino VFW Post and the American Legion.
Family and community has always been a priority in his life. He and his wife, Deanna, raised their five children (Mark, Brenda, George, Lisa, and Susan) in Silver Creek. Anthony and Deanna are members of the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Faith Community. Borrello is an active member of the Knights of Columbus 4th Degree.
Borrello was a member of the Silver Creek Jaycees when they began plans for the first Festival of Grapes. Today, 50 years later, he is a member of the Grape Festival Board.
Borrello has served two separate terms as Village Trustee. He has always been dedicated to serving the people of the village of Silver Creek. During his terms in office he was instrumental in several significant projects. There was a house on Buffalo Street that was abandoned after being damaged by a fire. The house needed to be torn down. Instead of contracting the job out, Borrello advised that village employees should do the job. This action saved the Village taxpayers about $15,000.
Borrello was also instrumental in bringing sand in from the Town of Hanover to be placed on the Village Beach, thereby making the beach area more family friendly.
Borrello advocated for the taxpayers when he opposed and stopped the practice of paving private property that was being done by the acting Village Board at that time. The paving of private property cost the village taxpayers about $5,000 until Borrello demanded a stop to this action.
Based upon his record of getting things done and advocating for the taxpayers of the Village of Silver Creek, Borrello has shown a commitment for watching out for the best interests of our community.
Borrello is committed to helping young families and senior citizens during these difficult economic times.
Borrello said, “It is necessary to keep an eye on the bottom line so that we spend tax dollars wisely.”
Anthony Borrello asks for your trust, your confidence, and your vote on Election Day.
