Tom Wik running for Sheridan councilman

SHERIDAN — Tom Wik has had the privilege and honor to serve the residents of the town of Sheridan as Councilman since Jan. 2. He looks forward to running for election as councilman in the November election. He accepted the nominations of the Republican, Conservative, and Independence parties.

In accepting the nominations, he expressed his appreciation for the support and affirms that he will continue to strive for the best economic measures available, thereby striving for efficiency.

Wik holds a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering technology and is a registered professional engineer. He has over 30 years of experience in municipal government and therefore, considers himself well qualified for the position of councilman. Wik is a councilman who is responsive and responsible to the residents of the town of Sheridan.

A few of his previous affiliations include membership in the New York State Society of Professional Engineers; American Public Works Association, New York State Association of Town Superintendents of Highways, and Erie County Association of Town Superintendents of Highways.

“My professional background and genuine interest in the town of Sheridan, as well as the residents of the town of Sheridan, can only provide a win-win scenario for us as a team.
