Early voting planned for June primary

The Chautauqua County Board of Elections Commissioners have designated the Early Voting sites for the upcoming June 22, Primary Election. The designated sites will be the Chautauqua County Fairgrounds in Dunkirk and the Chautauqua County Board of Elections Office in Mayville. The following Election Districts and Party Affiliations are eligible:

¯ Legislative District 4 Democrats (Pomfret 4 and 5)

¯ Legislative District 18 Republicans (Chautauqua 1, 2, 3, Mina and Sherman)

¯ Town of Arkwright Republicans

¯ Town of Carroll Republicans

¯ City of Dunkirk Democrats

¯ Town of Ripley Republicans

The Early Voting period starts 10 days prior to election day, Saturday, June 12 through Sunday, June 20. Hours for early voting will be; Saturday and Sunday noon to 5 p.m., Monday and Tuesday noon to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Voters can cast a ballot at either Early Voting poll site, by absentee or they can vote on election day, Tuesday, June 22, from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. at their poll site.

“Voting is important, whether they vote early, by absentee or on Election Day, we hope all eligible voters exercises their right to vote,” Commissioners Luz Torres and Brian Abram stated.
