As a reminder of the Jan. 6, 2021 attack on our nation’s capital, a dozen or so determined demonstrators stood at the corner of Main and Temple streets in Fredonia on its fifth anniversary last week. On that day rioters broke into the Capitol, did damage, and disrupted the proceedings which were being carried out by Congress to administer the peaceful transition of authority from one administration to the next. Many brave members of law enforcement were injured protecting our congress men and women. “Those of us who watched it happen in real time know what we saw and will never forget,” the protesters noted.
