Falconer/CV edges Gators in overtime
FALCONER — Kayla Lynn scored her second goal of the game with two minutes left in a second 10-minute overtime period as Falconer/Cassadaga Valley topped Allegany-Limestone 2-1 in Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 1 West girls soccer Thursday.
Lynn opened the scoring from Julianna Roth in the 10th minute for the Golden Cougars (2-1, 1-0).
The Gators (1-2, 0-1) tied the game with 15 minutes remaining in regulation.
Lynn then scored her second breakaway goal of the game off a through-ball from Brailyn Paladino to end the game.
Ellyson Baglia made seven saves in net for Falconer/Cassadaga Valley.
WILSON, RIVERA POWER WOLVERINES
SOUTH DAYTON — Carley Wilson and Aliyah Rivera each scored twice as Westfield/Brocton beat Pine Valley 6-0 in nonleague play.
Wilson scored the lone goal of the first half in the third minute before the Wolverines added on five more in the final 40 minutes.
Rivera scored twice while Mackenzie Schumaker, Makartnee Mortimer and Wilson also found the net after the break.
Emma Busuladzic made seven saves in net for Westfield/Brocton (1-2, 0-0 Division 2 West).
Destiny Lindquist and Arryanna Bardo combined for 15 saves in net for the Panthers (0-2, 0-0 East Division).
