City schools say social media threat not credible

The Dunkirk City School District has determined there’s no credible threat behind a social media post Thursday night that suggested harm to school safety. District Superintendent Brian Swatland posted about the incident this morning on DCSD’s social media page. He posted a letter addressed to intermediate school families. COLLINS --- The Erie County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Bureau is investigating a fatal motorcycle crash that occurred late Wednesday afternoon, Sheriff John Garcia announced. At 4:01 p.m., dispatch received a call reporting a male was on the ground with a motorcycle nearby in the area of 4040 Zoar Valley Road.
