A Memorial Day chicken barbecue will be held on Monday, May 30 from noon until sold out at Dunkirk Memorial American Legion Post 62, 211 Central Ave., Dunkirk. Tickets are $10 presale/$11 at the door. The meal includes chicken by “Weidner’s BBQ,” two sides, roll and butter. Options include eat-in or take-out.

Presale tickets are available at Post 62, or call John at 366-1074 or 680-2377. Live music from 3 to 6 p.m. featuring 2nd St. SUNSET (formerly “US”). Raffles and a silent auction will also be available.

All proceeds to support Legion and veterans programs.

During the next several days, volunteers from several veteran organizations, JROTC Cadets, Scouts, etc., will be decorating Dunkirk cemeteries with American flags on the graves of all veterans.

If any grave is overlooked, please stop by Post 62, 211 Central Ave. after 3 p.m. to pick up a flag.
