Silver Creek church offers free faith-based respite

SILVER CREEK — Are you a caregiver for someone living with mild to moderate Alzheimer’s or other dementia? If so, the newest collaboration between Catholic Charities of Buffalo and Christ Chapel Wesleyan Church can be a source of support. The free Memory Care Respite Program is held the third Saturday of each month from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the church, 60 Buffalo St., Silver Creek. Fredonia Presbyterian Church plans Alternative Christmas Festival

On Dec. 6, 7 and 8, Fredonia Presbyterian Church, 219 Central Ave. between Cottage Street and Forbes Place, will host its annual Alternative Christmas Festival. At the center of the festival is a display of over 600 nativities of different materials, sizes and cultures. Our national day of Thanksgiving is less than a week away. Remember to take time to give thanks to God for all His provision; not only on one day but daily. As He is always providing everything we have so we have reason to continually give Him thanks. There are many ways to give God thanks.
