Silver Creek Senior Citizens hold meeting

SILVER CREEK — The Silver Creek Seniors met on Oct. 19 with 28 members present. President Ed Newman opened the meeting with the Pledge to the Flag and everyone singing America the Beautiful. Carm Tampio offered a prayer and blessing of the food. Attendees enjoyed brown bag lunches and desserts.

The 50-50 winners were Angie Logan, Carol Prowse and Janice Snyder. Gifts were won by Eleanor Lemiszko, Jim Spano and Sally Shevlin. Wheel of Fortune lucky winners were Jim Spano (2 times), Gene Chesbro (2 times), Ginny Chesbro, Ed, Janice (2 times), Judy Hahn, Don Hoeber and Phyllis Burghardt. Janice called bingo and winners were: Judy (2 times), Gene (2 times), Phllis (3 times), Ginny, Joan Suski, Harry Suski, Lorrie Newman and Don.

The in house auction was a huge success. Members were able to get rid of things they no longer wanted and others went home with some of those items.

Next week’s luncheon will feature soups. The meeting closed with singing “Fairy Tales Can Come True.”

Oct. 19 – Betty Donovan, 530; Barb Smith, 444; Double Pinochle, Betty Donovan; Peanuts, Fran Sullivan.
