Dunkirk Police Department

¯ On March 12, Erick D. Threatt, 30, of Dunkirk was charged with burglary, criminal contempt and three counts of menacing.

¯ On March 12, Kentrell J. Stewart, 35, of Dunkirk was charged with menacing.

New York State Police

¯ CONEWANGO VALLEY — On March 15, Troopers out of State Police in Jamestown arrested Henry Hershberger, 19 on charges of third-degree unlawfully fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle and two counts of reckless driving.

Troopers said they observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed on Route 62 in Conewango Valley and attempted to initiate a traffic stop but the vehicle failed to comply. The suspect vehicle accelerated to over 100 miles per hour and continued onto Seager Hill Road for approximately three more miles before coming to a stop. Hershberger was identified as the driver and taken into custody without further incident.

Hershberger was then transported to State Police in Jamestown, processed, and issued an appearance ticket and multiple traffic tickets.

Hershberger is scheduled to appear in both Ellington and Conewango town courts on future dates.

Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office

≤ WESTFIELD — On March 11, Ryan Baker was charged with second-degree assault.

At about 4:30 p.m. Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to Jones Road in the town of Westfield for a reported assault. Investigation led to the arrest of Ryan Baker of Westfield for allegedly causing physical injury to another person.

Ryan was charged and transported to the Chautauqua County Jail pending centralized arrangement. Sheriff’s Deputies were assisted by New York State Troopers with the investigation.
