First Ward Falcon Club to host celebration Wednesday

First Ward Falcon Club will feature live music with Ion Sky on Wednesday, Nov. 27 from 7 to 11 p.m. at 341 Lake Shore Drive E., Dunkirk. There is no cover charge. The event is open to the public, club members and guests. Join in to begin the holiday celebrations.

CIAO presents: ‘Regift, Italian Style!’ Dec. 8

Have you ever received a gift from someone and it wasn’t to your liking? What to do? Why, REGIFT it, of course! Come to the CIAO Christmas Luncheon on Dec. 8 at noon at the Fredonia Beaver Club to find out what is this gift no one wants and how it is dealt with!

All are invited to the CIAO Christmas luncheon, no need to be a member of CIAO or the Beaver Club to enjoy a great meal, prepared by Fred’s and be humorously entertained! The delicious menu consists of chicken Caprese, roast beef, mashed potatoes, baked ziti, salad, and homemade desserts! The cost of this banquet is a mere $18 per person, but tickets must be purchased in advance. Tickets are available at the Beaver Club or by contacting Nance Ortolano at 673-9177. Checks can be made out to CIAO and mailed to CIAO c/o Nance Ortolano, 10 Carol Ave., Fredonia, NY 14063. We can hold your ticket at the door or mail them, whichever you prefer.

Not only will you have great food and entertainment, but with your ticket, you will be eligible to win a gift basket valued at $50!

Santa’s Craft Bonanza set for Saturday

The 37th annual Santa’s Craft Bonanza will be held Saturday, Nov. 30 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Gerry Rodeo Conference Center, 4351 Route 60, Gerry. The event will feature live music by the Melodeers, a Chinese auction, shopping and Santa’s Kitchen will be open. Santa and Mrs. Claus plan to visit around lunch time. All items are hand-crafted. All proceed will benefit the Gerry Fire Auxiliary.

Literacy Volunteers of Chautauqua County opening bookstore, center Dec. 3

Literacy Volunteers of Chautauqua County cordially invites the public to the Grand Opening of its Book Store and Education Center on Tuesday, Dec. 3 from 7 to 9 p.m. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at 7:30 p.m. The Center is located at 10-12 Park Place, Fredonia. The evening will feature refreshments, special offers, and one of Fredonia’s largest Christmas villages will be set up, featuring over 80 structures. RSVPs are appreciated.
