Mayville Farmers’ and Artisans’ Market is held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Mayville Village Park, at the traffic light at Route 394 and Route 430, Mayville. It features farmers and artisans, with special events TBA.

The Barker Library, 7 Day St., Fredonia, will hold a book sale from 1 to 6 p.m. Masks are required regardless of vaccination status.

Fredonia Farm Festival at Chautauqua County Fairgrounds

The Fredonia Farm Festival vendor check-in will be held at the Gazebo in the Chautauqua County Fairgrounds from 1:30 to 7:30 p.m. At dusk, the free movie “Raya and the Last Dragon” will be shown at the Mini Stage by Floral Hall.

Summer “Polar Bear” Swim for Charity

Cabana Sam’s, 1028 S. Shore Drive, Irving will be the site of this year’s swim, with proceeds benefiing a Mother Baby Unit at Oishei Hospital. The minimum pledge to swim is $15. Registration begins at 5 p.m., with the swim starting at 6:30 p.m. The event includes an extended Happy Hour from 4 to 9 p.m. with music by Tom Bender from 7 to 11 p.m. Prizes will be awarded for costumes and the swimmer who generates the most pledges. Pick up pledge sheets at Cabana Sam’s.

Dunkirk Elks Lodge bingo

Dunkirk Elks Lodge bingo will be held at Central Ave. Doors open at 5 p.m. Admission sales begin at 6 p.m. Games start at 7 p.m. Social distancing will be followed. Masks must be worn by those who are not fully vaccinated.

Mayville concert

The Entertainment in the Park – Summer Concert Series Performance will feature No Consensus (Ken Shearer & Band) from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Mayville Lakeside Park, 78 Water St., Mayville. For more information visit the event’s Facebook page.

Darwin R. Barker Library book sale

The Barker Library, 7 Day St., Fredonia, will hold a book sale from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Masks are required regardless of vaccination status.

St. John’s United Church of Christ hot dog lunch

St. John’s United Church of Christ will hold a hot dog lunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 733 Central Ave., Dunkirk. Meals will include a hot dog, chips, and soda for just $3.

Fredonia Farm Festival at Chautauqua County Fairgrounds

The grand opening of the Fredonia Farm Festival occurs at noon on the Main Stage. There will be craft vendors from noon to dusk, food vendors from noon to 10 p.m., performances by Midnight Recovery from noon to 3 p.m. on the Mini Stage; Krossbones from 3:30 to 5:30 on the Main Stage, Uncovered from 5:30 to 7 on the Mini Stage and Terry Buchwald on the Main Stage from 7 to 10 p.m. A children’s tractor pull is also planned.

Audubon Butterflies and Brews

The Audubon Community Nature Center, 1600 Riverside Road, Jamestown, will be set up from 6 to 8 p.m. with food and drink for this 21-and-over night with butterflies as a preview to the Monarch Butterfly Festival. There will be min educational sessions, butterfly tagging, examples of all stages of the life cycle and more. The cost is $30 pre-paid, or $35 at the door.

Westfield flea market

This New York City-style flea market begins at 8 a.m. in Moore Park with a focus on vintage and antique goods along with fashion clothing.

Westfield Farmers’ Market

The Westfield Farmers and Artisans Market is from 9 a.m. to 2 p .m. at Moore P ark, 23 Elm St., Westfield. Shoppers find locally grown produce, meats, jarred products, baked goods, arts, crafts, published literary works by local authors. Prepared foods and beverages available. Other activities include a cornhole tournament and a kids power wheel demolition derby.

Audubon Monarch Butterfly Festival

The Audubon Community Nature Center, 1600 Riverside Road, Jamestown, will have a room filled with wildflowers and Monarchs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Activities include Monarch story time, butterfly tagging demonstrations, live caterpillars, butterfly nets to borrow, nature walks, butterfly programs, a food truck and more. The butterfly release occurs at 6 p.m. Costs are $8 adults, $6 members and children 3 to 15, and free for 2 and under.

Lakeshore Humane Society open adoption

The Lakeshore Humane Society, 431 E. Chestnut St., Dunkirk, will hold open adoption hours from noon to 3 p.m. Masks must be worn if not vaccinated. For details, call 672-1991.

75th Anniversary of Dunkirk to Dunkerque Day

Busti Gazebo concert

There will be craft vendors from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., food vendors from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., an antique car show at the farigrounds from noon to 4 p.m.; a performance by Bad Habit from noon to 3 p.m. on the Mini Stage; the Grand Parade at the Grandstand at 1 p.m., the Mo Porter Party Band on the Main Stage from 3 to 6 p.m. and a Family Sing Along with Kay Barlow on the Mini Stage at 3 p.m.

Mental Health Association of Chautauqua County Art Recovery Sunday

The service takes place at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 410 Main St., Jamestown beginning at 10 a.m. It commemorates National Overdose Awareness Day, honoring all those who have lost their lives to drug overdose in Chautauqua County over this past year by lighting candles and tolling bells while reading their names. MHA Executive Director, Steven Cobb will be the guest preacher and MHA Staff will lead a NARCAN training following the service.

Cassadaga Farmers’ Market

The Cassadaga Farmers’ Market will take place from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. in the Cassadaga Village Common at the corner of Route 60 and Maple Avenue. Roberto Fred will be back with his selection of fresh, locally grown fruits, vegetables and other food items.
