Murray Hose meeting is Monday

A meeting of the Murray Hose Company No. 4 Volunteer Fire Company will take place at 7 p.m. Monday in the company meeting room. Officers are asked to report at 6:30 p.m.

Deer permit deadline nearing

The town of Pomfret clerk’s office would like to remind all hunters the last day to apply for Deer Management Permits is Friday. The clerk’s office is open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.. Masks are required to enter Town Hall.

Barker Museum open Tuesdays and Saturdays

The Darwin R. Barker Museum is open Tuesdays from 4 to 8 p.m. and Saturdays from 1 to 5 p.m. and by appointment. Current exhibits focus on 19th century Fredonian life and settlement patterns. Admission is free

Cherry Creek Church Rummage Sale

The Cherry Creek United Methodist Church will host a free rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 1, and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 2. Donations will be accepted through Thursday, Sept. 30. No electronics or televisions will be accepted. There will also be a bake sale on Saturday, Oct. 2.
