Can drive set for Saturday in city The Blessed Mary Angela Holy Name Society will hold a can and bottle drive on Saturday at the Lord’s Vineyard Center, the former St. Hyacinth School, 296 Lake Shore Drive East in Dunkirk from 9 a.m. to noon. Brush collection set for village The village of Fredonia will be picking up limbs and yard waste beginning Monday at 7 a.m. Collection will continue until every village street has been completed. Bags and brush are collected separately by different crews. All items for collection must be at the curb no later than 7 Monday morning. In no case will there be a repeat collection of areas completed. All yard waste must be bagged or in barrels. Trinity United Church of Christ sets free community meal GOWANDA — The Trinity United Church, located at Erie Avenue and Park Street, Gowanda, will host a take-out only free community meal at the Park Street entrance on Saturday, May 9 from 4 to 6 p.m. or gone.
