City police issue warning on vehicle thefts The Dunkirk Police Department has seen an increase in the amount of vehicle entries, vehicle thefts and attempted vehicle thefts within the past month. The Dunkirk Police Department is reminding City residents to lock their vehicles and remove all valuables from their vehicles. The primary vehicle makes being targeted are Kia and Hyundai, however are not limited to those vehicle makes. Trinity United Church of Christ free community meal GOWANDA — The Trinity United Church, located at Erie Avenue and Park Street, Gowanda, will host a take-out only free community meal at the Park Street entrance on Saturday from 4 to 6 p.m. or gone. Drive East Main to Railroad Avenue and then down Park Street, following the signs, or walk up. The menu is goulash, tossed salad, vegetable, fruit, bread and cookie. Library plans Unplugged Event CASSADAGA — From 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, the Seymour Free Library Cassadaga Branch will host an Unplugged Event that encourages patrons to turn in their phones in exchange for a prize and go analog for two hours. During that time the library will provide supplies to make a journal, play games, or encourage participants to bring their own activity to spend some quiet time in the library or cozy up with a book.
