History Fair parade seeks participants The Sinclairville History Fair Committee is looking for groups, floats, local officials, cars and motorcycles to participate in the History Fair Parade on Saturday Sept. 9. The parade begins line-up at 9 a.m. at the Sinclairville Elementary School with step-off at 10 a.m. Groups can register by calling 716-665-1261 or just showing up early enough to get logged on the participant sheet. Barker Library announces September programs The Darwin R. Barker Library, located at 7 Day St., Fredonia is planning a number of events for the coming weeks, including: ¯ Children’s programs — from Sept. 11 through Oct. 3. Silver Creek Senior Citizens meet SILVER CREEK — The Silver Creek Seniors met on Aug 22 with 31 members and guests present. President Sally Conover opened the meeting with everyone saying the pledge to the flag and singing “God Bless America”. She then welcomed Brooks and Debby from South Carolina and Penny Goebel. Baby show set for Sept. 9 SINCLAIRVILLE — A Beautiful Baby show will be held at the Sinclairville History Fair on Saturday, Sept. 9. The show will be held at 11 a.m. at the firehall and is open to any baby under 2 years old. There will be prizes in several categories and each baby entered will receive a small gift. Author to be at museum Saturday Rick Barram, a retired history and theater arts teacher, and is the author of the “72nd NY Infantry in the Civil War: A History and Roster.” The author will be available for questions, discussion, and book signing on the lawn of the Darwin R. Barker Museum on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. during the Fredonia Farm Festival.
