Westfield Republicans hold spring fundraiser
The Westfield Republican Committee held its spring fundraiser recently with a large crowd on hand at the Noble Winery.
The spring fundraiser helps support the work of the Westfield Republican Committee in village and town elections. In addition to raising funds for the Republican Committee, the event also gives community members the opportunity to meet and network with elected officials at all levels of New York state government.
This year’s event saw a wide variety of elected officials gather to support the work of the Republican Committee, and to interact with their constituents in an informal setting. In attendance were New York State Assemblyman Andy Goodell, Chautauqua County Executive Vince Horrigan, Chautauqua County District Attorney David Foley, Chautauqua County legislators John Hemmer, David Himelein, David Wilfong and Lisa Vanstrom, who is also a constituent specialist for Sen. Catharine Young.
Other Chautauqua County officials present were Larry Barmore, Chautauqua County clerk, Tracy Haskin, deputy county clerk, Republican Election Commissioner Brian Abram, as well as the Chairman of the Chautauqua County Republican Committee, Allan Hendrickson.
In addition to state and county officials, elected officials from the town and village of Westfield boards were also present. This included town of Westfield Supervisor Martha Bills, town of Westfield Councilman Jim Herbert, town of Westfield Clerk Tim Smith, town of Westfield Highway Superintendent Dave Babcock, village of Westfield Trustee Al Holbrook, village of Westfield Deputy Clerk Becky Jackson, former village of Westfield Mayor Dave Carr, and former village of Westfield Trustee Debra Puckhaber.
The Westfield Republican Committee extends its thanks to all of these officials for attending the fundraiser. The committee also appreciates the support of the community in turning out in large numbers and the wonderful hosts from Noble Winery.
The Westfield Republican Committee now shifts its focus to the upcoming November elections for the town of Westfield, and the March 2016 Board of Trustees election for the village of Westfield.
The committee is currently seeking individuals who are interested in running for two positions on the village of Westfield board in March of 2016. Interested individuals should submit a cover letter and resume to Tom Tarpley, Westfield Republican Committee Chairman, 106 East Ave., Westfield, New York 14787.
