Book discussion, signing is Saturday
A book signing will take place Saturday at the Next Chapter Bookstore at 12 Park Place in Fredonia. Author Catherine D’Agostino will be available to discuss and sign copies of her novel, “Braided Lies: A Thousand Islands Castle Mystery,” from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Revitalization talk planned for June 28
FORESTVILLE — The Hon. Lynn Ruda, mayor and director of development for the Village of Lancaster will share her village’s revitalization success story at the next Imagine Forestville Meeting, to be Wednesday, June 28, 6:30 p.m., St. Rose of Lima Church Hall, 11 Center St.
NCCF holding annual meeting Tuesday
Northern Chautauqua Community Foundation will hold its annual meeting on Tuesday at 4:00 p.m. at E2CCB LoGuidice Educational Center, 9520 Fredonia Stockton Road, Fredonia. The meeting is open to the public. The George B. Weaver Jr. Footprints Award will be presented to Dan Reininga. A reception will immediately follow.
Sewer District gathers June 29
There will be a special meeting of the Board of Directors for the Portland, Pomfret, Dunkirk Sewer District on Thursday, June 29 at 3 p.m. The meeting will be at the Town of Dunkirk Town Hall, 4737 Willow Road. The meeting is open to the public.
Car seat check set for today
NORTH COLLINS — Erie County Sheriff John C. Garcia announces his office is partnering with North Collins Emergency Squad, Inc. to host a free car seat check at the North Collins Town Hall today from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Deputies will provide free car seat inspections, installations, and instructions for properly installing car seats.
