Family Breakfast set for Sunday
Forest Lodge 166 F&AM will be holding its monthly Family Breakfast this weekend from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sunday. This all-you-can-eat breakfast will consist of eggs made to order, Pancakes or French Toast, Sausages, Fruit Cocktail, Juice, Milk, Coffee, and Tea. Adults and teenagers 13 and up, $12; children 5-12, $6; youth under 5 are free. This breakfast is open to the public, and everyone is welcome and cordially invited to attend. Anyone with interests in, or has questions about FreeMasonry will be given a tour of the building at the asking. Forest Lodge is located at 321 E. Main St., Fredonia.
Epiphany Tea planned for Sunday
Sunday at 2 p.m., the Trinity Episcopal Church Women will be holding its rescheduled Epiphany Tea in Garland Hall located behind the church at 11 Day St., Fredonia. The guest speaker will be Dr. Ted Lee, Distinguished Professor at SUNY Fredonia and parishioner Jake Wilkins sharing their most recent trip to Honduras.
Lovely tea will follow the Q-and-A session. A freewill offering will be donated to future Honduran Missions.
Borrello to speak at brunch
BROCTON — It is brunch time once again for veterans, active-duty military and their guests. As always, this is free for those individuals because of the generosity of Veterans 4 Christ and Dwyer Chautauqua. The brunch consists of homemade breakfast food, fruit, plenty of coffee and delicious Paula’s Donuts.
Brunch will be served Saturday at 10 a.m. at Tri-Church Parish, 41 E. Main St. This facility is handicap accessible. This Saturday the guest speaker will be state Sen. George Borrello. He will be sharing information that is pertinent to our veterans and the concerns that are uniquely theirs. Please plan on joining us this Saturday for great food, great fellowship and veteran information.
VFW Auxiliary holds meeting
SHERIDAN — The VFW Auxiliary of Sheridan Post 6390 met Monday. Members discussed the recent Valentine bingo. It was a great success. There were leftover prizes of which are being sent to the VA Hospital in Buffalo. Two baskets for future raffles were created as well.
Year-end reports for the various committees were passed out to the members in charge of reporting. It was decided two members will be going to the District 6 convention in Mayville on April 26. Also discussed and voted on were charitable donations.The meeting adjourned at approximately 7:30. The meeting will be April 14 at 6:30 at the post. We are always looking for new members to join. Congregation talks about trust
The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Northern Chautauqua, located at 222 Temple St. in Fredonia, holds a Sunday Worship Service at 11am, both at their physical location and on Zoom. For those attending the in-person service, please follow the driveway and park in the lower lot behind the building. Handicapped parking is located between the two buildings and directly behind the second building.
The theme for March is Trust. On Sunday, a service will be led by Cara Seekings and Cheryl Ritch called “What’s Trust Got to do with it?” During this service Seekings and Ritch will share some thoughts on this month’s theme of trust and might provide some interesting exercises in trust.
