City Hall closed for New Year’s Day Dunkirk City Hall will be closed on Thursday for New Year’s Day. As per the 2025 Curbside Collection Schedule, Rubbish in the Thursday collection zone (District A) will be picked up on Friday. Rubbish in the Friday collection zone (District D) will be picked up on Saturday. Silver Creek sets special meeting SILVER CREEK — The Village Board will be holding a special meeting to transfer any fire department related assets to the new Bay Creek Fire Department. This meeting will take place on Monday at 5 p.m. in the Village Hall. Club Associates meets in city On Dec. 14, the Club Associates met at the Kosciuszko Club in Dunkirk. Vice President Mike Curtain welcomed the Associates to their club. The meeting started with the Pledge of Allegiance, followed by a moment of silence for all deceased club members. Two officers were excused and one club was absent. Secretary Jim Pryll read the minutes from the previous meeting, followed by the treasurer’s report by Tom Halicki. Election of officers was held.
