Woman injured in hit-and-run accident in south county

Lakewood-Busti police are looking for the driver of a sport utility vehicle involved in a hit-and-run accident Wednesday.
A woman was reportedly struck by a dark colored SUV around 8:30 p.m. as she was exiting Walmart, 350 E. Fairmount Ave. The woman was transported by Lakewood firefighters to UPMC Chautauqua in Jamestown.
The vehicle — believed to be a Range Rover Evoque between the 2011 and 2018 model years — left the scene after the accident.
According to the Lakewood-Busti Police Department, the SUV likely has front end damage as well as a temporary license plate located in the rear window.
