Hanover reschedules second December meeting for Thursday
The town of Hanover has rescheduled its second regular meeting of the month for Thursday at 4 p.m. Resi-dents are welcome to attend.
Free ice skating
The village of Fredonia and town of Pomfret will sponsor free ice skating for village and town children and their families at Steele Hall, Fredonia State University today and Wednesday from 4 to 5 p.m., Jan. 7 and 28 from 12:15 to 1:15 p.m. and Feb. 5 and 12 from 11:30 to 12:30 p.m.
Cassadaga Valley Board of Education meets this morning
The Board of Education of the Cassadaga Valley Central School District will meet on today at 11 a.m. in the Board of Education Conference Room. The special meeting will be held in executive session.
Perrysburg to hold year-end meeting
The Perrysburg Town Board will hold a Special Year End meeting at the Perrysburg Town Hall, 10460 Peck Hill Road, Perrysburg, on Thursday at 5:45 p.m.

to appear
on Chautauqua Sunrise
Chautauqua Sunrise will feature the production crew of the show as the guests on Saturday. Chris Burt, Jeff Zook and Randy Burt will discuss predictions for 2017.
Host Doc Hamels will conduct the program. The program airs live from 9 to 10 a.m. on Saturdays and is rebroadcast daily until Friday at 2 and 8 p.m. for some communities. The guest is subject to change.
Chautauqua Sunrise is shown live on Saturday mornings on Time Warner cable systems covering Brocton, Cassadaga, Chau-tauqua, Fredonia, Mayville, North Harmony, Portland, Ripley, Sherman, Stockton and Westfield on Channel 5. In Dunkirk, Falconer, Forestville, Hanover, Irving, Jamestown, Lakewood and Silver Creek the program is on channel 19. Channel numbers shown are for subscribers using a cable converter. Digital channels for televisions without a converter will vary by community. The show originates at the Access Channel 5 studio in Mayville.

Gas price up again
Gas prices are up to close out 2016. The national average price for regular unleaded gasoline is now $2.29 per gallon, up five cents from last week. The New York state average is $2.47 per gallon, up four cents from last week. A year ago, the NYS average was $2.24.
AAA Western and Central New York reports the following averages:
≤ Buffalo — $2.40, up 2 cents
≤ Rochester — $2.41, up 4 cents
≤ Syracuse — $2.37, up 3 cents
