Portland church announces Christmas Eve service

The Portland Congregational Church 8649 Church Street, Portland will hold its Christmas Eve Service Friday, Dec. 24, at 9 p.m. Everyone is welcome to come celebrate Christ’s Birthday.

Grape Belt Seniors upcoming trips

The Grape Belt Seniors have planned two trips. The first is to see the production of Hamilton at Shea’s on Jan. 2. The departure time is 11 a.m. Meet behind Big Lots. There will be dinner at the Pearl Street Grill, with a return to the Big Lots parking lot at 7 p.m.

Portland fire board meets Monday

PORTLAND –The Board of Fire Commissioner of the Portland Fire District will be holding their year-end budget reconciliation meeting on Monday at 6:30 p.m. as well as any other business that may come before the board. The board would also like to wish all residents of the Portland Fire District a merry Christmas and Happy and prosperous New Year.
