Breakfast Club meets Thursday
The New York State Department of Transportation Breakfast Club will meet at 10 a.m. Thursday at Demetri’s in Dunkirk. All retirees are welcome to attend. Anyone with questions can contact Hank at 716-965-2007.
Can and bottle drive set
The Blessed Mary Angela Holy Name Society will sponsor a can and bottle drive on Saturday July 23, at the St. Hedwig’s parking lot on Roberts Road starting at 9 a.m. until noon.
Barker Library to Unveil Little Free Library
The Darwin R. Barker Library and Museum Association in Fredonia cordially invites the public to the unveiling of the new Little Free Library on Saturday, July 23 at 11 a.m. The Little Free Library program began in Hudson, Wisconsin, and has spread across the globe, providing free books to any and all, 24/7. Much like the “take a book/leave a book” shelves one often finds in airports, salons, and apartment complexes, a Little Free Library gives easy access to the community whenever they’d like to read. The Little Free Library organization has partnered with the American Library Association and the Library of Congress, and was honored in 2020 by the World Literacy Council.
TEA Party Patriots meets
July 26
Carl Paladino, candidate for Congress, will be featured at the next general meeting of the Southern Tier TEA Party Patriots on Tuesday, July 26, at 7 p.m. at 1309 Norby Road. Also, Reese Powell also be present to discuss indoctrination in schools. An update will be given regarding the special election for the remining term vacated by former Rep. Tom Reed.
