Auxiliary looks ahead, recaps summer

CASSADAGA — The Cassadaga Legion Auxiliary Unit 1280 held its summer “dish-to-share” get-together, Tuesday, Aug. 13, with 16 senior members attending. Prayer was given before dinner by Kathi Runkle.

There was a great variety of foods, and conversation was enjoyed by all. A short informal meeting followed the dinner.

The parking lot dance on July 14 started out well but eventually got rained ou. Unit 1280’s famous Pie & Desserts sales during the Son’s Cruise Nights have gone well.

Cassadaga’s National Night Out at the Johnny Fessenden’s Ball Fields was very well attended by local, county and state First Responders, as well as the community.

Sally Lawson noted she now has the Unit’s 2025 membership cards, $30, pay early ladies so we can get 100%.

Upcoming events include an Oktoberfest tailgate parking lot party in early October, and the annual Vendor Show on Oct. 26. The auxiliary also voted to donate money to the Sinclairville Samaritan House and to an event that will benefit the Blue Star Mothers.

Starting at $3.50/week.
