Program focuses on breast cancer Friendship Missionary Baptist Church Women’s Ministries is having a program to raise awareness and funds for the American Breast Cancer Foundation. With cancer affecting so many people in our community, the church has a need to do its part in trying to get the word out about this disease. Foliage at peak levels in area Beautiful peak foliage will be found in parts of all nine Upstate New York regions this weekend, as it makes its way out of the upper elevations of the Adirondacks and Catskills. Most upstate foliage will range from midpoint to near-peak of change. Sweetest Day Expo is Saturday BROCTON — Arch Festivals presents the 2024 Sweetest Day Expo and Festival on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Brocton Central School. There will be live entertainment by TVm and John Savage and free door prize drawings. 75th birthday party in the works A committee from both schools has been formed to plan a 75th Birthday Party next summer for the 1968 graduating classes of Dunkirk and Cardinal Mindszenty High Schools. At a recent meeting the committee agreed to hold the “75th Birthday Bash” on Saturday, Aug. 9 at the Post 62 American Legion in Dunkirk.
